Drought Resilient Pasture Legume Mixture Trial Visit
Join Adelaide University researchers at Eden Valley/Springton to see drought-resilient annual pasture legume mixture trials in the paddock.
With changing climatic conditions, selecting pasture legume species that can perform under variable conditions is increasingly important for building resilience on farm.
During the trial visit, you’ll:
- Compare the performance of serradellas, clovers and medics on sandy soils
- See how grazing affects the different pasture legume species
- Compare their feed quality
- See a regenerating paddock of summer-sown serradella established in 2023
The visit is an opportunity to see the trials firsthand, hear directly from Assoc Prof Matt Denton and his team from Adelaide University about what they’re seeing in the paddock, and discuss what these pasture options could mean for your own farming system.
