The Soil Capacity Gap Analysis for South Australia was developed by the Regional Soil
Coordinator under the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme. The purpose was
to assist with identifying the local soil capacity gaps, current soil issues, extension needs and
barriers to adoption within the local region to align with the National Soil Strategy and National Soil
Action Plan 2023-2028. The Regional Soil Coordinator conducted interviews, attended soil events
and collected survey data between 2022 and 2024 to develop this report.
