Project summary:

More Beef from Pastures 2.0 is a contemporary redevelopment of the successful More Beef from Pastures program, designed specifically for self-replacing beef businesses operating across southern Australia.

MBfP 2.0 places producers at the centre of the program that combines practical technical information, locally relevant discussion and producers’ own enterprise data to help make more confident decisions to improve the productivity, profitability and resilience of their beef businesses.

The program supports producers across a wide range of southern Australian production environments—from medium- and high-rainfall pasture systems through to mixed farming enterprises and businesses managing highly variable seasonal conditions.

MBfP 2.0 is a major adoption and extension component of the broader Profitable and Resilient Southern Beef Herds project (Southern Beef Project). The wider project brings together research, producer learning, advisor capability development and industry extension to improve maternal productivity, pasture utilisation and business resilience across southern Australian beef systems.
