Technology, innovation and agricultural excellence to take centre stage at AgExForum2026

South Australia’s agricultural community will come together on Monday 3 August 2026 for AgExForum2026, the state’s only biennial forum dedicated to its grower group network. Bringing together growers, advisers, researchers, industry leaders and government, the Forum will explore the technology, innovation and collaboration shaping the future of Australian agriculture.

Under the theme Transforming Ag | Technology Shaping How We Grow, AgExForum2026 will feature keynote presentations, expert conversations and practical sessions.

The program brings together respected farmers, researchers and industry leaders to share practical insights, real-world experiences and emerging ideas that are shaping the future of Australian

agriculture.

The program includes a keynote address from Immediate Past National Farmers’ Federation President David Jochinke.

This will be followed by a fireside conversation with Thomas Elder Institute Director Dave McKeon, providing national and industry perspectives on the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of Australian agriculture.

Ag Excellence Chair Leet Wilksch said:

“AgExForum2026 provides a unique opportunity to bring together growers, advisers, researchers, industry and government to share ideas, strengthen partnerships and explore practical solutions that will help shape the future of agriculture”.

“Our grower groups play a vital role in connecting research with on-farm practice. The Forum reflects that by creating an environment where knowledge, innovation and experience can be shared across the sector, ensuring new ideas translate into real outcomes for farming businesses and regional communities.”

The Forum will conclude with the AgExForum2026 Awards Dinner, celebrating excellence, leadership and innovation across South Australian agriculture.

The evening will feature the presentation of four respected industry awards, including the GRDC Grower Group Award, the Ag Excellence Perpetual Award for Outstanding Service, the Jim McColl Award and the ABSA Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship, recognising the people and organisations making an outstanding contribution to South Australia’s agricultural sector.

Together, the Forum and Awards Dinner provide an opportunity to celebrate achievement, strengthen connections and recognise the people and organisations driving innovation across South Australian agriculture.

Forum attendance is complimentary (registration essential), with tickets also available for the AgExForum2026 Awards Dinner.
